Singsation Pop Choir
Meet the choir
In this section we introduce the members of Singsation and what Singsation means to them.

Lizzie Harrison
Joining Singsation reminded me why I love singing so much, having not been part of a choir for around 3 years. Everyone is so friendly and the rehearsals are light-hearted and fun, with lots of laughs along the way, but we still manage to get a lot done.
I really enjoy being part of the choir and am looking forward to our upcoming concerts.

Sharon Brierley
I'm sharon Brierley 38, living in Abergele with my husband and daughter age 7. I have always enjoyed singing and was part of my school choirs for many years. Being part of singsationnorthwales is brilliant because I can do something I really enjoy with some really great, friendly and funny people. X

Jane Vo-Hughes
Singsation means a lot to me, as a new mum it's easy to lose yourself into the throws of motherhood. The choir gives me time to be me and regain what I was before I became a mum. It's given me back my equilibrium.
I look forwards to it every week and I've enjoyed meeting new people and joining a new community of like minded people. Thank you.

Sarah Jerbi
I've always had the idea that "one day" I would love to join a choir and thought that this would be something for me to do when I retire. Well I'm pleased to say that I never had to wait that long.
I have to say I'm very proud to be part of something which I'm so passionate about and love the diversity of this all female group (excluding the lovely Jamie!!) and how empowering it is.

Clare Hart
I work full time and have 2 boys under the age of 3, Ethan and Dexter. My life is chaos!! My husband saw the piece in the paper about the choir and knew it was something I would like to get involved in and I'm so glad I did. It's fantastic, it's great to have something to do that's just for me,
I am a wife, a mummy and a nurse, but now I'm a singer in a pop choir too!

Becky Lightowler
I was asked if I was interested in joining the choir when it was still an 'idea'. For me it was a way of meeting with old friends and having a bit of a sing. I can't believe how this little idea has turned into the amazing Singsation. I always leave on a high, even if I felt rubbish before. I'm so proud of how far we've come in such a short space of time.
And I still get to catch up with my old friends whilst making new ones! I Love it!!!

Colette Hall
I'm Colette Hall, happily married to Pete, a Mum to an amazing & energetic 2 year old son, Evan and a full-time Primary school Teacher. Being part of Singsation Pop Choir is fantastic. I love singing and I had missed it as I used 2 be in a choir during my school days. I had been looking for something like Singsation for a while & was really chuffed to find it. It's good to have something for me, where I can switch off for a bit & sing with a bunch of great people who share the same interest as me. We also have a good giggle in between singing too! I love being part of Singsation!

Bethan Lewis
After seeing an advert in the local paper I went along on the first evening feeling a bit nervous, once I arrived all my nerves were gone and excitement took over. From the word go everyone was welcoming and as the numbers have grown over the weeks I have really started to feel a part of something special and cannot wait for each Thursday evening to arrive! I am really looking forward to seeing how far we can go as a group in the months & years to come!

Carly Richardson
When i was approached by a few old school friends about meeting up to sing a few songs together, i jumped at the chance, now 3 months later we are a fully fledged choir. I love Singsation and the buzz it gives me. (Even after a challenging day) It has given me the opportunity to meet new people and make some new friends.

Sarah Nightingale
I am 39, work full-time as an estate agent and have recently moved to Abergele with my family. I was looking for a way to meet new people and have some fun. Its great that I can also enjoy my favourite thing - singing! Plus my family are glad I get most of it out of my system on a Thursday evening! I really look forward to Thursdays and its lovely to leave the day behind and just relax and enjoy the singing and the company.

Val Parry
During the day I work in Glan Clwyd Hospital, by night I have discovered Singsation. What a breath of fresh air,I knew that singing was good for your wellbeing, but you have to experience it to feel it,I'm so pleased to have found such a well run group of happy people.
P.s yes I am a bit of a devil !!!!!!!

Bethan Lloyd
I'm Bethan and I love singing! Over the years I've been a member of a number of youth musical theatre groups and that's where my passion began. A few years ago I was part of a 4 piece jazz harmony group which I loved. I then moved to Liverpool and trained professionally in musical theatre (jazz hands) for 3 years. After 18 months of auditioning my confidence took a knock and I needed to find a way to fall back in love with singing.....enter Singsation! I joined with my mum, Sian and have smiled for every minute I've been there. It's a wonderful feeling knowing you're sat in a room with a group of women you would never have met before, sharing the same passion. We have a great time (thanks to the founders) but we also work hard. It's hard to put into words the feeling I have when I leave rehearsals. Let's just say I've caught the Singsation bug!

Sarah Beard
I used to love singing in the school at choir and in an adult choir before I moved back home to Wales. After looking for something around here for a while I was so excited when Kat and Lauren asked about starting one. It's absolutely amazing how Singsation has grown since our first few gatherings and it's so rewarding to have something to be part of and proud of. Singsation is simply sensational!

Sian Lloyd
Hi my name is Sian Lloyd and I live in Deganwy. My daughter Bethan and I joined Singsation in September. It is great to share our love of music together and have fun at the same time. I have not sung since my schooldays, and was not even sure that I could still hold a tune! From the very first meeting I knew this choir was the one for me. I love the variety of songs we sing. All the founder members of the choir are very supportive. Everyone is so friendly and, although we work very hard learning new songs as well as music theory, we have a laugh too.

Sarah Hammond
A couple of my friends came along and asked me to join them . I was a bit apprehensive at 1st as hadn't sang in a choir since school but thought I'd give it a shot and really glad I did ! It's fab and I really enjoy it, plus it gets you away for a couple of hours from the busy life of Woking full time and being a mummy to my gorgeous little girl ! Really looking forward to what the future brings !

Louise Yates
The choir means I can indulge my passion for singing. Instead of singing at home while I do the house work and driving everybody mad I can sing with other like minded people. Its great fun and I have met some lovely people. I feel so proud to be a part of this choir because we sound bloody amazing!
